Thanks! <--End of Comments by SC2000 Mayor--> -------------< COMMENTS BY Avalanche >-------------- Well, I just got this e-mailed to me today. I don't know if you receive this newsletter from Maxis, but here's the official word on SimCity 3000. Pat Haven avalanche@kktv.com ----------< END OF COMMENTS BY Avalanche >---------- Howdy Maxateers!! Here's the latest Maxis news: - Maxis CD Sampler - Maxis Web Store Remodeling, Summer Meltdown - SimCity 3000: Maxis is doing it!!!!! - Marble Drop Quest, Other Contest Winners - "Streets" Scoop ********************************************** Before I proceed, here's a friendly reminder: You got on this list because you signed the Maxis Guest Book at some point in your life. TO REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THE LIST OR OTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS: Send e-mail to kfagen@maxis.com. And now, back to our regularly scheduled babbling. *********************************************** MAXIS CD SAMPLER: While our access has improved in the last few weeks, it still takes a lot of time to download all of our interactive demos for our recent products. How would you like to be able to have ALL of our products' demos – including SimCopter, SimGolf, Full Tilt! 2 Pinball, SimPark, SimTunes and Marble Drop – and all of our product information in one fell swoop at your fingertips without having to log onto the Internet? Now you can, with the Maxis CD Sampler, which you can order like a regular product from the Maxis web site. The CD is free, but with a $5.50 S/H free. However, if you buy a product, the S/H for the Sampler is only 50 cents. *********************************************** MAXIS WEB STORE REMODELING: Starting May 1, you'll see a change in the Maxis Store. Look for lower prices for most products, and standard two-day shipping for all products. Plus, order the Maxis CD Sampler for only 50 additional cents with any product. And the summer is going to get even hotter starting June 1, as that's when we start our Maxis Summer Meltdown. Look for products such as SCURK and SC2K Scenarios slashed to prices so low a SimAnt will have to bend his knees to see them! ******************************************* SC3K UPDATE: You heard it here first, straight from the source: Maxis IS developing SimCity 3000. Look for more details on the Maxis web site in mid-June. ******************************************* THEY LOOK "MARBELLOUS": The winners of Maxis' Magnificent Marble Drop Quest, which ran 2-14-3/31, are posted. http://www.maxis.com/inside/contests/marbledropquest/winners.html. These winners were drawn (but not quartered!) from a database of industrious people who found all seven marbles on seven outside web sites. BTW, all those clever folks who e-mailed such responses as "up your nose" regarding where the marbles' locations, were disqualified. Not that we didn't think they were darn funny, but they just didn't get ya into the drawing. Also, the results of the March Guest Book drawing in which people who signed the Guest Book got entered to win SimTunes, are also posted in "Contests", in the "Winners Circle". ************************************************ THE WORD ON "STREETS": It's rolling right along here, and should be hitting the proverbial streets this summer. If you haven't checked it out yet, you can preview some sounds and get a "Behind the Screens" look at http://www.maxis.com/games/streets_of_simcity/ ********************************************* Until next time, Karen Maxis Web Gnome
