SimCity 2000 was the sequel to SimCity Classic, Maxis' first blockbuster game. SimCity 2000
offered graphics and gameplay that, at that time, had been unprecedented. Players could view their
city from 4 different angles and 3 different zoom positions. The gameplay was also great, putting
mayors in complete control of their city.
SimCity 2000 has established quite a following. People (like me), have been setting up clubs, designing Web sites, and other Sim-related stuff for a while. With all the hype about SimCity 3000, it's easy to forget SC2000. No matter
how good SC3000 is, SC2000 will be considered the breakthrough product. SimCity 2000 will probably always
be my favorite game.
