How do I stop churches from coming up?

Hehehe, you must have entered one of the cheat codes DARN, HECK, or DAMN, which makes churches pop up all over your residential areas. All I can say to you is that I hope you have a backup of your city, because once you've entered the code, there is no way to reverse it. I believe that the population and other statistics aren't effected by this, but still, it looks pretty weird.
