Notice: Back issues are still available from previous tips of the week. You can take a look at them in the Tips of the Week Index. Also, I know I've been behind on Tips of the Week for a while, and I'm sorry. I'm going to get back on track starting now.

More Water Issues

Anonymous asks...
Is water worth putting around your water pumps? I've heard putting water around your pumps increases the pump's output x2, but water costs as much as pumps.

While placing water near a pump does increase it's output, from a financial standpoint that situation isn't worthwhile at all. Water isn't a very important part of the simulation - some cities can go without water - so why invest extra cash in it? Be sure to build around your existing waterways first, if any. If you still get Water Shortage messages, try building water towers.

I hope this helps!
